Caledonia Training First Clients for NUTEC/NETA Safety Course
NUTEC Centre for Safety and The NETA Training Group have worked together
for a number of years to promote training in the Tees Valley. The two
companies offer training in areas that compliment each other and have
collaborated on a number of projects over the years. This successful collaboration
has now been extended to include their joint interests in the Aberdeen
area.
Caledonia Training & Consultancy Ltd provided the new partnership
with one of their first contracts that combined Offshore Survival Training
and Incident Response procedures with Industrial Health & Safety topics.
The main work of Caledonia Training is initially aimed at the drilling
and well services sector, but they are rapidly expanding their portfolio
to include Management, IT and English training. Caledonia Training continues
to have significant success with both UK and Overseas training contracts.
These include a series of customized 6-month programmes for Libyan drilling
personnel.
Many of the safety aspects of the programmes are being delivered on behalf
of Caledonia at Nutecs training centre in Dyce and will also utilise
the practical fire training facility at Aberdeen Airport which is operated
in conjunction with BAA Fire Service. Upon completion of the training
successful delegates will be issued with Offshore Survival and Fire Team
Member, IOSH Managing Safely, Lifting and Slinging Accreditation and a
Contractor Safety Passport Card.
